Baking 101: Chocolate Mug Cake


CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
Recipe from Mel's Kitchen Cafe

Ingredients:
    1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    5 tablespoons sugar
    2 tablespoons cocoa powder
    1 egg
    3 tablespoons vegetable oil
    2 tablespoons semisweet chocolate chips
    1 tablespoon nutella
    Dash of vanilla and salt

Our Version:
    1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar
    2 1/2 tablespoons instant powdered chocolate drink (Goya)
    1 egg yolk (set aside the white)
    1 tablespoons melted butter
    2 tablespoons semisweet chocolate chips
    1 tablespoon Finetti
    Dash of vanilla and salt
    Koko Krunch (optional)
    Oatmeal (optional)

Prepare the ingredients.



Mix everything in a mug.


Picture perfect yolk.


Stir, stir, stir. Be patient. If the mixture is too dry, you can add a little bit of the egg white.


Once your mug is as messy as the mug above, you're concoction is ready! *kidding*
Now, if you want to add some oatmeal - or Koko Krunch in my case, now is the time to do that.


Microwave for a minute and a half. You can extend bake time to 2 minutes. But I like mine moist, so a minute and half will do the trick.



And voila!
